Personalize it!
Your cake can be as unique as the guest of honor. (I'm reminded of the Bleedin' Armadillo cake from Steel Magnolias...) But really, it is okay to think outside of the proverbial cake box. Flex those creative muscles!
Think 3-D for the pretty princess...

For the inner cowgirl...
For the big baby in your life. (or, I suppose, for a baby shower.)
Believe me, I've seen it all. I have decorated the same cake with both sumo wrestlers and bouquets of flowers, for crying outloud. No judgment here. Now go be creative!

And now for something completely different...
Personalized desserts have exploded over the last few years. (Not literally, of course.) Cupcakes? Truffles? Sugar cookies? Or who says you have to choose? Picture them all gracing the dessert table at your next party!
From sophisticated wedding receptions to birthday parties for girls and boys of all ages, cupcakes are no longer child's play.
Chocolate truffles with any design for any occasion!
Baileys Irish Cream truffles are simply decadent!

My cake philosophy?
Cake should be delicious.
A beautiful cake gets ooohs and aaahhs from the crowd, but that's just the beginning! Don't let the cake at your party make promises in aesthetics that fall short in flavor. Fine crafted desserts should appeal to each of the senses (except for maybe sound... that would be weird). The flavors should mingle and dance across the tastebuds. The sweet, sugary fragrance of the icing should precede every bite. Frosting should get on your face. Is this a party or what?! Live it up!
What's your pleasure? Light and summer-y white cake with fresh strawberries? Moist and decadent chocolate cake with raspberry filling? Sweet and spicy carrot cake? Tangy lemon with tart lemon curd? Marble with a creamy chocolate ganache? The possibilities are as limitless as your imagination.
Treat yourself! Life is too short for just "okay" cake.

Yo ho ho and a big slice o' cake!
Welcome to my humble corner of the 'sphere!
I started making cakes years ago because I was looking for a creative outlet that didn't obligate my loved ones to keep mountains of my faux floral arrangements and hand-thrown pottery. Cake decorating was a tidy solution... edible art!
Here are some photos! (Fotos if you habla espanol... which I don't.)

Ahoy matey! I don't think Johnny Depp had anything to do with this pirate trend...
The bridal hit of the summer: Navy and lime green!

Kids love Elmo!
